Shah Family had migrated from Gujarat to Mira Bhayander in the 1850s. Their initial business was salt production — on an around 200 acres across the region. For generations, the family business has centred on salt production and acquiring agricultural land across Mira Bhayander.

In the 1960s, Shah Family expanded into the HP Gas Agency business, providing residential and commercial cooking gas — a legacy that continues to this day.
